Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was ruled out for the game and the season during the 34-20 win against the Cincinnati Bengals with an ankle injury.
Ravens John Harbaugh told reporters after the game that Andrew’s injury appears likely to end his season during the post-game press conference. Andrews will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the full extent of the injury.
On the Ravens opening drive of the game, Andrews caught a ball near the goal line before being taken down with a hip-drop tackle by Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson.
When Wilson landed on the back of Andrew’s legs, the tight end’s ankle could be seen bent at an awkward angle.
Andrews was left on the ground with obvious signs of pain before being quickly attended to by Ravens medical staff.

The three-time Pro Bowler limped to the locker room after leaving the field and was initially declared questionable before quickly being ruled out before the first quarter even ended.
Shortly after Andrews was taken to the locker room, Amazon Prime Thursday Night Football correspondent Kaylee Hartung reported that the TE went to the X-ray room on crutches and was unable to put weight on the injured ankle.
Before his night ended early, Andrews had recorded two catches for 23 yards on the opening drive.
Andrews came into the game having 45 receptions, 544 yards and six touchdowns, leading all TEs in the league.
Andrews wasn’t the only Raven injured during the game, as quarterback Lamar Jackson also sprained his ankle, but returned to the game on the team’s next possession.
