Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has admitted he cried when he heard cornerback Rasul Douglas was traded to the Buffalo Bills.
Douglas and a 2024 fifth-round pick were shipped from Green Bay to Buffalo this week in exchange for a 2024 third-round pick.
“It was a moment I’ve never had before,” Jones said.
“I’ve never seen someone close to me get traded… We both started talking and shed a few tears. It has been a long journey for both of us.
“When you have someone on the other side of the ball who is a mirror to you, who believes in the same things, the same work ethic, you know what you can get out of him or her. It’s hard to lose a brother like that.’

Through seven games this season, Douglas has recorded 32 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.
He had been a starter in each of his seven appearances.
Jones, on the other hand, has only played in four games this year due to hamstring issues and has recorded 123 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.
He has also hauled in 10 passes for 121 yards.
The 28-year-old RB will have to put his emotions aside when he and the Packers face the touring Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Douglas, on the other hand, will face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, although it remains to be seen if he will make his Bills debut.
