Rasmus Hojlund ‘is spoken to by Man United team-mates over him giving an interview to YouTube fan channel which is “negative and slaughters them”‘ – sparking awkward ‘jealousy’ row between fans

Rasmus Hojlund’s decision to conduct an interview with a Manchester United YouTube fan channel has reportedly been questioned by his teammates.

The Denmark international has been in good form in 2024. He scored seven goals from six games for the Red Devils before recently suffering an injury.

During his fertile period, Hojlund sat down an interview with ‘The United Stand’ where he discussed everything from his goalscoring form to life in Manchester.

While some may have had an insight into the mind of United’s number 11, reports claim his teammates have questioned the decision to do the interview.

According to United We Stand magazinea few United players spoke to Højlund about his choice to give an interview to a channel that was ‘based on negativity and the slaughter of United players’.

The United Stand has previously been criticized by people associated with the club, with former Red Devil Paul Parker once claiming the channel is causing ‘problems’ at United.

However, Mark Goldbridge – who manages the United Stand – has since hit back, insisting the criticism stems from ‘jealousy’.

Take to X, formerly known as Twitter, Goldbridge wrote: “Jealousy always seems to burn brightest on a Sunday lol! So it took months to put that interview together.

‘Everyone in the club was aware, the player and others were doing media on a training day at Carrington, we were there all morning. If someone wanted to stop it, they could.’

In October, former United defender Parker said he believes Goldbridge has ‘attacked the club, the manager and the owners of a football club he doesn’t even like’ as he ‘is a Nottingham Forest fan’.

On the situation involving Goldbridge and United, Parker told BonusCodeBets: “I don’t like what Mark Goldbridge is doing.

‘It’s a problem. Everyone has to make a living, but you have to have a very, very thick skin to make money doing something you don’t like.

Hojlund has found the back of the net seven times in his last six appearances

‘He has no relationship with Man United, he is a Nottingham Forest fan. It’s actually an incredible skill to do that… Making money doing something you don’t like.

‘He attacks the club, the manager and the owners of a football club you don’t even like. He has no inner feeling for the club and it’s a scary but incredible feeling to have to be so invested in a club you don’t support.

‘But that is also what Man United stands for. It’s a club with a huge story and it’s a story that everyone tries to tap into and be a part of.

‘A lot of people make money thanks to Man United, but it’s madness. Firstly, they don’t support Man United and to be honest, secondly, they don’t even like football.

In total, the former Atalanta striker scored thirteen goals in thirty games for the club

‘But it is a club that everyone wants to talk about and somehow it is possible to make money from it, despite not having any relationship with the club.’

Hojlund has achieved impressive form in the Premier League for Man United, scoring in six consecutive games to help the Red Devils.

It marked a significant upturn in form in front of goal, with the £72m summer signing failing to score in the Premier League until the 3-2 Boxing Day win over Aston Villa.

Hojlund had scored in other competitions, with the striker having now scored thirteen goals in thirty games in his debut season at the club.
