The woman involved in the multi-car crash believed to have involved Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has started a $20,000 fundraising campaign in hopes of both purchasing a new car and to cover damages caused by the wreck involving one of her children.
Kayla Quinn, a 27-year-old single mother of two, founded her own company GoFundMe page on Monday, two days after her vehicle – a white Hyundai Accent – was totaled by Rice’s Corvette and a Lamborghini in Dallas, Texas.
She shared, “Like many of you local Dallas Ft. Any resident of worth may know that on Saturday, March 30, 2024, my (sic) 4 year old son and I were the first to be struck by two individuals traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 75 and they ran from the scene. Therefore, I have no information to contact their insurance to get transportation for my work or my children.
“I’m not sure if any of you saw the video, but I thought I lost both my life and my sons during the impact.”
Quinn, who lives in the Dallas suburb of Plano, added that she is grateful that she and her toddler emerged from the crash alive.

Rice is suspected of driving a Corvette that crashed into Quinn’s Hyundai by Dallas police
Reflecting on the incident, which she described as a “horrific” experience, she wrote in her fundraiser description: “God managed to spare our lives and I am so grateful. My son and I live to tell the tale and again, I am grateful….
‘At this point I need help. My car has been totaled and I need money to buy a new vehicle and I need your help. All donations are greatly appreciated.”
As of Monday evening, $155 was raised toward Quinn’s five-figure goal, with the largest donation to date being $100.
Rice, on the other hand, is cooperating with local police, according to his attorney, because authorities believe he fled the scene after crashing his Corvette into Quinn’s Hyundai.
Quinn also claims the five men who crashed into her showed “no compassion” before driving away from the scene.
Rice played in the Chiefs’ second consecutive Super Bowl victory against San Francisco in February
The 23-year-old Rice helped the Chiefs win a second straight Super Bowl in February. He has ties to Texas as he played high school football at North Richland Hills before going on to represent SMU in college.
Dashcam footage of Saturday’s crash shows a Lamborghini and a Corvette colliding with Quinn’s Hyundai at high speed on the North Central Expressway, pulling the cars across the road.
The Dallas Morning News also quoted a witness as saying they saw one of the men grab “guns and bags from the vehicles” before leaving the scene.
The incident is said to have occurred at 6:20 PM local time. It is believed the Lamborghini crashed into the center wall, causing ‘a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles’, before the perpetrators fled the scene.
