Rarely-seen disgraced celebrity chef Pete Evans makes low-key outing on his 51st birthday as he grabs a coffee

Pete Evans made a modest excursion when he went for a cup of coffee on Thursday morning for his 51st birthday.

The disgraced celebrity chef, who stepped back from the spotlight following backlash over his controversial Covid stance, was spotted grabbing some hot drinks in North Bondi.

He looked casual in gray camouflage pants and a black hoodie, which he paired with a pair of sturdy work boots.

Pete continued to show off his striking new haircut after shaving his silver locks into a dramatic mohawk-style mullet late last year.

The former MKR star wore a black baseball cap with the Evolve Sanctuary brand name on it as he collected his hot drinks.

The outing took place on the morning of his 51st birthday, when he was visiting Sydney for the day from his rural home near Byron Bay and Coolangatta.

Pete runs Evolve Sanctuary with his wife Nicola Watson after retiring back from public life after his controversial views on Covid-19 and wild conspiracy theories.

He has fallen out of fashion somewhat since being dumped by 15 sponsors and companies within 48 hours in November 2020 after posting a neo-Nazi meme on social media.

He has faced a series of controversies in recent years for his controversial views on Covid-19 and bizarre conspiracy theories.

The once-popular TV star was criticized for spreading anti-vaccine conspiracies and was fined $25,000 for promoting a light machine he claimed helped cure Covid.

In May 2020, it was announced that Pete was leaving Channel Seven after ten years as a judge on My Kitchen Rules alongside Manu Feildel and guest judge Colin Fassnidge.

It effectively marked his break with the mainstream, after years of flirting with outlandish ideas during his tenure at the network.

Freed from the contractual constraints of mainstream network television, he began spouting his non-scientific beliefs about vaccines and the Covid-19 pandemic on social media.

In July 2020, Pete caused outrage when he falsely claimed that Covid-19 was a “f***ing hoax” and that the pandemic was “nothing like what’s happening on a large scale in the world”.

In May 2021, he was fined $80,000 for again trying to make money from Covid by selling more fake treatments online.

It was the second time he had come into conflict with authorities, having previously been fined $25,000 for trying to sell his so-called BioCharger for $15,000 apiece on Facebook.
