Rapper Shy Glizzy arrested after ‘pulling gun on girlfriend and threatening to harm her in the street’
Rapper Shy Glizzy was arrested this weekend for allegedly pulling a gun on his girlfriend and threatening to harm her. TMZ reports.
The 30-year-old musician, real name Marquis Amonte King, was arrested Saturday after a “verbal altercation” with his on-off girlfriend.
The argument is said to have escalated when Shy grabbed a gun and threatened his girlfriend on a public street around 9am.
Shy allegedly left after the altercation – which involved West Hollywood Sheriff’s Deputies and filed a criminal report.
Shy was later arrested at 6pm. He was booked on charges of making criminal threats – he was released after four hours behind bars on $50,000 bail.

Sources told the publication that police did not find a gun on Shy and that he denied threatening his girlfriend for four months.

Glizzy shot to fame with the release of his first studio album Fully Loaded in 2018, which reached number 35 on the Billboard 200.
His second album Flowers was released in February 2023.
His last single Fools Fall N Love (featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again) was released in 2023.
The star has also collaborated with artists such as Tory Lanez, A$AP Rocky and 2Chainz.
He was nominated for a 2018 Grammy in the Best Rap/Sung Performance category for his song Crew (featuring GoldLink and Brent Faiyaz).
