Rapper Aitch splits from his model girlfriend Lola Thompson after ten months of dating as they unfollow one another on social media

Rapper Aitch has split from his model girlfriend Lola Thompson after ten months of dating.

The musician, 23, went public with Lola, 24, at the start of this year but they have struggled to continue their romance and are said to be ‘gutted that it didn’t work out’.

PrettyLittleThing model Lola confirmed the split when she shared a video of herself with her best friend, writing: “When you and your bestie are finally single at the same time.”

Manchester-born Aitch, real name Harrison James Armstrong, and Australian-born Lola no longer follow each other online, hinting at things being acrimonious.

A friend told me The sun: ‘Aitch and Lola had such a fun time together and things were quite serious between them, but ultimately they struggled to spend enough time together.

‘Lola is embracing single life while Aitch has thrown himself into work. They’re both quite upset.’

During their relationship, Lola grew very close to Aitch’s sister Gracie, who has Down syndrome.

He previously shared a video of his sister and Lola holding hands and wrote: “Gracie and Lola forget me when they are together.”

Last year, Aitch said he felt like the “most hated person in Manchester” after an advert promoting his new album was painted on a mural by the late musician Ian Curtis.

The mural of the Joy Division frontman, painted on the side of a building on Port Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, was created in 2020 as part of a mental health campaign.

Mr. Curtis, who struggled with depression throughout his short life, died by suicide at his home in May 1980. He was 23 years old.

The tribute to the singer – which was intended to spark a wider conversation about mental health – was painted over.

Aitch became aware of what was happening the next morning and said he “got stuck pronto” after an outburst of anger.

The musician, who released his debut album Close to Home on , said he was ‘fuming’ over the confusion and vowed to resolve the situation ‘pronto’.

He noted that he was angry at Mr. Curtis and “what that mural represents,” but also at himself. The rapper said he went from having “such a good week” to being the “most hated person” in his hometown.
