Manchester United scored twice to secure their first pre-season win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Rangers at Murrayfield on Saturday.
Amad Diallo and youth player Joe Hugill scored impressively, but Rangers failed to respond. Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff were more pleased with their performance than the score.
The Dutchman took his team north of the border for a final friendly before they depart for their summer tour of the United States, where they were able to celebrate a much-improved performance.
The United manager had previously been furious after his team were beaten by Norwegian side Rosenborg in their first friendly of the new season, but was encouraged by the arrival of new signing Leny Yoro and the return of Jadon Sancho.
Both were in the starting XI for the spectacle in Scotland, with Yoro looking surprisingly steady despite the hectic 48 hours since completing his £52million move from Lille on Thursday.
