A lecherous donkey’s attempt to mount a woman’s horse while she was riding in County Dublin has led to a personal injury claim for £50,000.
The owners of the cheeky donkey were sued by company director Helen Dunne for negligence and breach of duty.
Ms Dunne claimed that on April 7, 2017, she was riding her horse along the roadway when she passed the donkey’s field.
Suddenly the animal escaped and tried to mount her horse.
Ms Dunne claimed she suffered shock and bodily harm after the donkey kicked her and tried to bite one of her legs as she tried to control her horse to foil the attack.
The rider’s claim also included an allegation of liability against the donkey’s owner, farmer John Moore.
It was alleged that it was Mr Moore’s responsibility to know that the donkey was naughty.

Although rare, donkey attacks can be brutal
On Wednesday, Jude Fiona O’Sullivan heard in the Circuit Civil Court that the case had been settled with a claim for personal injury.
Although rare, donkey attacks can be extremely brutal.
In 2015, a woman from Georgia, US, had to have her arm and leg amputated after she was viciously attacked by a donkey.
Mother-of-two Georgia Giacomi was bitten by a donkey while feeding him on her local farm.
The animal managed to drag her under a barbed wire fence, and what followed was a minutes-long savage attack in which she was repeatedly bitten and stomped, shattering her left arm and hand and breaking several ribs.
Her injuries, although serious, would heal within months.
But a litany of medical failures led to Ms Giacomi developing a flesh-eating infection that destroyed one side of her body.
Three weeks after the attack, she had her left leg above the elbow and her left leg above the knee amputated.
