Radio host Chrissie Swan reveals her worst celebrity interview and says they ‘made her feel like nothing’
Chrissie Swan has interviewed hundreds of celebrities during her long TV and radio career.
And now the 49-year-old has revealed that the worst interview she ever gave was with rock band Duran Duran.
The interview was made all the worse because Chrissie idolized the band as a child.
The Australian TV star said on The Chrissie Swan Show that ‘two of the members were very rude’ and ‘belittled’ her.
“One was with my childhood icons, Duran Duran, which was an excruciating interview. And two of the members were very rude to me. “I just left there feeling like I didn’t feel like doing anything,” she said.

Chrissie explained that she had met her other icons, including Lily Tomlin, Gina Davis, Debbie Harry and Sarah Jessica Parker, and that they had been ‘amazing’.
“But Duran Duran, they really belittled me and I just felt like a big loser,” she continued.
Her co-host Jack Charles asked, “Did they know you were fans?”
‘Yes. You could see that on my face. And that’s even more unkind,” she admitted.
Chrissie also said her interview with former AFL star Sam Newman was “hands down the worst experience I’ve had in the media.”
The interview was “terrible,” so she left the studio in tears and they couldn’t air it.
‘It was definitely the worst yet. It was a terrible, terrible situation and so unusual in my career that I felt so attacked. It was horrible,” she added.

Jack then opened up about his worst celebrity encounter, revealing it had been with former Bachelor star Nick Cummins.
‘The worst person I didn’t even interview was when I produced Chrissie, Sam & Brownie. We had the Honey Badger in.”
“He refused to take out his air pods to talk to any of our other producers. And as he walked through the halls of the studio, he wouldn’t talk to anyone, not even his publicist.”
