Rachel and Kit initially got fans excited about their upcoming show in April when they posted the letters R and J, respectively, on their social media pages.
Connor placed the letter R, while Zegler placed the letter J, with interlocking halves of an addition mark on their posts.
Both geotagged the posts as Verona, the location of the Shakespearean story.
A trailer was then released in May, putting a twist on the timeless production that finds the two leads in the modern suburbs.
Earlier in the evening before the performance, Rachel put on a delicate and understated show in a strapless yellow Dior dress.
Zegler’s A-line dress, styled by Sarah Slutsky Tooley, featured floral embroidery throughout.
The dark-haired beauty accentuated the outfit with yellow Dior open-toe heels that exposed her nude pedicure.
For his part, Kit wore a custom-made navy blue Emporio Armani suit, a white shirt and a black and white patterned tie.
