Rachel Weisz walks the red carpet in style at the world premiere of Dead Ringers
Rachel Weisz and Emily Meade rocked stylish looks as they celebrated their new Amazon Prime Video series Dead Ringers.
Weisz, 53, and Meade, 34, were all smiling at the world premiere of their new series, held at the Metrograph Theater in New York City.
The actresses were also joined by co-stars Poppy Liu, Britne Oldford, Jennifer Ehle and Kitty Hawthorne and series creator Alice Birch.
The series is a gender-swapped TV adaptation of director David Cronenberg’s 1988 film of the same name, starring Jeremy Irons, which Rachel Weisz admitted was “obsessed.”
Dead Ringers debuts the six-episode season in its entirety on Friday, April 21 on Amazon Prime Video.

Weisz stepped out in a long red strapless dress with a red velvet cord wrapped around her neck.
She accessorized with a small silver bracelet on her right wrist, along with her wedding band for the outing.
Her black hair was parted in the middle and barely fell to her shoulders, the evening gown obscuring her footwear.
Her co-star Meade opted for an all-black look with a long, long-sleeved black dress that hit the red carpet with gold buttons.
She had her dark hair combed back and accessories with rings on both hands for the red carpet event.
Amazon first announced the project in August 2020, prompting direct serial ordering and production to begin in August 2021.
Weisz plays both Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes.
They are working together to push the boundaries of medical ethics – in an effort to challenge outdated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront.

Dead Ringers is a co-production between Amazon Studios and Annapurna Television, with series creator Alice Birch serving as showrunner and executive producer.
Filmmaker Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene, The Nest, The Iron Claw) directed the first two episodes and co-directed the final episode of the series.
Durkin also serves as executive producer, while the directing team is joined by Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body, Girlfight), Karena Evans (P-Valley, Snowfall) and Lauren Wolkstein (A Friend of the Family, Y: The Last Man). ).

David Cronenberg’s original film is an adaptation of Bari Wood and Jack Geasland’s 1977 novel Twins, which was loosely based on the true story of twin gynecologists Stewart and Cyril Marcus.
They were both found dead in July 1975 in separate rooms of Cyril’s Manhattan apartment aged just 45, with Stewart dying of a barbiturate overdose and Cyril suspected of possibly committing suicide in a suicide pact after finding his brother dead .
