Rachel previously talked about why she and Daniel are so infamous about their life together in a 2015 interview with MORE magazine.

She said: “He’s just too famous. It would be treason. You must protect your marriage. When you’re young, you tell your girlfriends everything.

“One of the great joys of not being a teenager is that you don’t have to share everything. When you’re married, that door closes. The audience goes, and you’re in your own life.’

Daniel, 54, and Rachel got married in 2011 – just six months after rumors of their romance first started circulating.

They each have children from previous relationships and welcomed a daughter named Grace together in late 2018.

Daniel shares daughter Ella, 31, with first wife Fiona Loudon, and Rachel shares son Henry, 16, with ex Darren Aronofsky.

Elsewhere in the chat, Rachel talked about what draws her to a role, saying she seeks out complex characters.

She said, “A lot of times, with roles for women in the past, I’ve found them very simplistic, and I think that’s changing, which is really good. What I’m looking for is complicated characters. It’s interesting, complicated writing.’

She will next be seen in the new Amazon Prime series Dead Ringers, playing an identical twin.

The six-episode show is a gender-swapped adaptation of director David Cronenberg’s 1988 psychological thriller of the same name, which starred Jeremy Irons as twin gynecologists who run an infertility clinic.

Rachel has revealed that she was “obsessed” with the original film and it was she who brought the idea of a female-led remake to Amazon.

Amazon first announced the project in August 2020, prompting direct serial ordering and production to begin in August 2021.

Set in New York, Rachel plays both Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes.

They are teaming up to push the boundaries of medical ethics – in an effort to challenge outdated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront.

The key to the plot is the relationship between them, Rachel explained.

She said, “Beverly is altruistic, thoughtful, careful and kind. She wants to change the way women give birth.

Dual Role: She will next appear in the new Amazon Prime series Dead Ringers, playing an identical twin

“Elliot is very, very different. She is not altruistic and she pushes the boundaries of what is ethical.’

Dead Ringers is a co-production between Amazon Studios and Annapurna Television, with series creator Alice Birch serving as showrunner and executive producer.

David Cronenberg’s original film is an adaptation of Bari Wood and Jack Geasland’s 1977 novel Twins, which was loosely based on the true story of twin gynecologists Stewart and Cyril Marcus.

They were both found dead in July 1975 in separate rooms of Cyril’s Manhattan apartment aged just 45, with Stewart dying of a barbiturate overdose and Cyril suspected of possibly committing suicide in a suicide pact after finding his brother dead .
