Rachel Riley says she and husband Pasha Kovalev put romance on hold as they focus on parenting

Rachel Riley has revealed that she and husband Pasha Kovalev have put passion on hold because they’ve prioritized raising their kids — but they’ll bounce back soon.

The TV presenter, 37, opened up in an interview with The sun — when she got candid about the joys and sorrows of raising two young children.

She said, “All the romance and dates… we just put a pin in it.”

But Rachel and her husband Pasha, 43, vowed to prioritize their romance again – after she stops breastfeeding their youngest daughter Noah, who is 18 months old.

“We’re both pretty patient and we know that once Noah gets off the chest, we’ll be back,” the TV host said.

It seemed that romance isn’t the only thing Rachel has put a pin on for a while — when she revealed her plan for the 40th birthday party.

The British presenter has completely focused on raising her two children – little Noah and three-year-old Maven – and has not held any parties for quite some time.

Rachel admitted that she’s finally looking forward to several parties at the end of the year as many of her friends turn 40 one after the other.

The Countdown host recalled a flashback moment when she and her college friends were all saving up to go to Las Vegas, but when many of them got pregnant and the plan fell through.

Although time has passed, the prospect of a relaxing vacation seems very different for Rachel and her group of friends since they would write “Las Vegas” in their diaries.

The TV personality hinted to eventually opt for a more family holiday, with a house together – as the kids will be a bit bigger.

Rachel isn’t at all worried about the approaching 40th birthday – on the contrary, she’s taking the opportunity to catch up on all the parties she missed during her early years as a parent.

While sharing snaps from a 2017 vacation to the Galapagos, the MBE recalled having three weeks off from everything before giving birth to her first child.

Rachel and Pasha — who got together after becoming close as partners on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 and later married in 2019 — welcomed a Ukrainian family into their household and turned eight into the home.

The Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown host claimed that she and Pasha have no plans to add any other children to their brood.

“Since Maven was two and a half, a lot of people have been in the house. We had Sasha, Galya, Luba and Mykyta with us. I don’t think she remembers anything else,’ she said.

But the adopted family is about to leave soon as Rachel revealed that they are moving back to Ukraine soon, which makes the household seem much smaller after a while.

The TV presenter emotionally admitted that they will miss the Ukrainian family quite a lot and have promised to video call each other all the time.

Earlier this month, the couple got big smiles as they took their daughters to the opening of Gabby on the Go, an interactive experience in London’s Lakeside.

The Countdown presenter looked effortlessly chic as she donned a pink striped jumper and ripped jeans.

Her blonde locks were styled in a half-up bun and she looked happy and relaxed as she casually held Noah on her hip.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Pasha wore a navy blue top with jeans, which he paired with red sneakers.

Rachel gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of what happened throughout the morning, telling them, “We had a really fun morning. We saw the cats, we danced, we played and it was great!’

The outing comes after Rachel, who has been Countdown’s mathematician for 14 years, got a red face earlier this month when she couldn’t solve a numerical problem.

Contestants were challenged to use the selected numbers to create a final number of 477, which no one could do.

Rather than show off her skills and amaze viewers at how they can achieve the exact number in a usually impressively fast time, Rachel was unable to do so and instead told the presenter of the Channel 4- show, Colin Murray: “You’re going to have to come back to me Colin.”

Viewers quickly picked up on Rachel’s blunder, and some fans claimed the amount was “obvious.”

Colin, 46, officially took over hosting duties from Anne Robinson, 78, earlier this year after she quit amid tensions with her co-stars.

Speaking to The Mirror, he spoke briefly about the highly publicized feud, saying the mood had changed after Anne’s departure.

Colin joined former presenter Anne Robinson last year and would be thrilled to land his dream job.
