Rachel Ray joins husband John Cusimano for charity gala after revealing their ‘huge screaming matches’
Rachel Ray and John Cusimano oozed love at an event on Thursday, just days after the TV host candidly revealed that the couple often participate in “huge shouting matches.”
The 56-year-old celebrity chef and her lawyer husband, who tied the knot in the picturesque area of Tuscany in 2005, were spotted at the Find the Cause Breast Cancer Foundation Prevention Party in Boston on October 24.
Rachael’s friend Gretta Monahan, who was honored at the event, got to work on it Instagram to share snaps from the evening, including a glamorous red carpet moment with the couple.
‘My favorites reunited! I can’t believe @rachaelray and @johnmcusimano traveled from ITALY,” Monahan wrote, referencing their beautiful Tuscan home.
She added that Ray and Cusimano have been “longtime supporters” of Find the Cause, saying, “It has been the honor of my life to have you by my side.”

Rachael and John certainly seemed to be on cloud nine and beamed with joy in Gretta’s beautiful photos.
Continued last week her new podcast In I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, Rachel candidly revealed that she often gets into “big shouting matches all the time” with her husband of 19 years.
“But I think that’s healthy, I really do, and I don’t trust people who are too quiet,” she noted.
‘Too quiet scares me. I prefer you tell me what you think if you think it, and let’s get it all out there. Get it out of there.”
Rachael also shared that while she and Cusimano don’t openly apologize to each other, they have their own nonverbal ways of reconciling after a conflict.
Ray reflected that “it’s very difficult, especially for hot-tempered, creative, or loud, let’s say loud people, to be able to just calm it down.”
She confessed, “John and I never calm it down. We have huge shouting matches all the time. But I think that’s healthy, I really do, and I don’t trust people who are too quiet… Too quiet scares me. I prefer you tell me what you think if you think it, and let’s get it all out there. Get it out of there.”
She added, “I don’t know if we’ll ever apologize to each other.”

She explained, “I end up patting his butt or kissing me on the head, and that’s just it. That’s the apology. It’s just kind of understood, “Okay, I still like you.” “I still like your head.” It’s kind of in that zone.’
In the same podcast episode, Ray revealed that she had suffered “a few bad falls in recent weeks” after fans raised concerns about her health.
In early September, Ray worried her admirers when she posted a cooking video in which she shared an anecdote about the late Tony Bennett.
Social media users began commenting on her “slurpy” speech, wondering if she was on “medication” or had a “health problem.”
Her rep responded to the speculation by issuing a statement saying she had “no comment” on the matter, via TMZ.
Last year, Ray announced the end of her daytime talk show after seventeen seasons.
“In my 20-plus years in television, I have had 17 wonderful seasons working with Rachael on daytime television,” Ray’s statement began.
“However, I have decided it is time to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcasting career.”
The Rachael Ray Show debuted in 2006 and became the flagship syndicated program launched that year. Over the next seventeen seasons, the program collected 37 Daytime Emmy nominations, winning three for Outstanding Talk Show.

2020 was a difficult year for Ray and her husband, as tThe couple lost their home in upstate New York to an accidental fire in August 2020.
They also suffered from their Manhattan apartment flooded in September of that year, plus their pit bull Isaboo died that summer in June.
In 2008, Ray’s rep debunked rumors that she had a throat cancer scare, saying, “Rachael is the epitome of health. She undergoes very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cords.
“It’s a routine in-and-out procedure that she will undergo in early December and it will have no adverse effect on her daytime filming or on Food Network filming.”
