Earlier this week, Rachel was at PaleyFest to watch the fifth and final season of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to celebrate.
Amazon revealed in March that the fifth and final season will span nine seasons, with the first three episodes available on Prime Video on April 14.
The rest of the season will roll out at one episode a week until the series finale on May 26.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel debuted in 2017, following Midge Maisel (Brosnahan), a New York City housewife who discovers she has a knack for stand-up comedy.
The first season took place in 1958 and subsequent seasons continued into the early 1960s.
The final season follows Midge as she gets “closer than ever to the success she dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is so far away.”
The new season will also feature the return of Milo Ventimiglia’s mysterious character and Kelly Bishop’s Benedetta.
Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino recently revealed that they know “exactly” what the series’ “final footage” and “final moment” will be since its season four finale last year.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has won 20 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
It has also won six Critics Choice Awards; four Screen Actors Guild Awards; three Golden Globe awards; and more.
The series has become one of the most acclaimed and beloved shows on television and has changed the game of the streaming industry.
