Rachael Finch forces her children to exercise on Christmas morning – after being slammed for her gruelling workout sessions

Rachael Finch has shown that not even Christmas can stop her family’s quest for fitness.

While many children across the country were pulling presents out of filled stockings yesterday morning, Rachael’s children had a different agenda

The 35-year-old model and TV personality, who shares a daughter, Violet, eight, and a son, Dominic, five, with her husband Michael Miziner, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share images of the family exercising in a local playground.

In the video, Rachael showed off her slim frame in olive shorts and matching sports bra as she led an intense family workout on Christmas morning.

She seemed focused as she led Michael, Violet and Dominic through a series of pyramid jump squats.

“Come on, Violet. We can’t give up now!’ Rachael said in the video, motivating her daughter to complete the morning workout.

A shirtless Michael rushed through the sets and also offered some words of encouragement to his son.

It appeared that Dominic had hit a wall during his training, prompting Michael to turn around and say, “Don’t sit down, come on!”

Rachael also shared a photo of her family posing happily after their post-Christmas workout.

It seemed the session matched Violet and Dominic, who both beamed as they huddled close to Michael for the photo.

Rachael’s family Christmas workout session comes after she and Michael were slammed after sharing a video of her two children undergoing grueling tennis training.

The video, posted to Instagram last month, showed the brother and sister engaging in a rigorous workout routine, including strenuous box jumps on a park bench, squats and serve drills.

In the caption of the post, Rachael, who also took Violet and Dominic for pre-Trick Or Treat training in October, said she and Michael, who also appeared in the video, instilled a strong work ethic in their young children.

‘They may or may not play at Wimbledon. But they will learn a lot about themselves and what they are capable of,” she wrote.

A former follower took serious offense to the video and felt it necessary to respond to Rachael and inform her directly that she had lost a fan.

‘Really terrible to see. Unfollow,” the disgruntled fan wrote, which Rachael took a screenshot of and shared on her Instagram Story.

Rachael seemed unperturbed by the negativity, captioning the post with a lighthearted: “Okie dokie.”

Negative message aside, Rachael’s video seemed to be met with a lot of positivity from followers, with many praising the couple for teaching their children drive.

“What we live by,” one follower wrote. ‘Proud of you all. It’s not easy, but the life lessons alone are damn worth it.”

Another chimed in with a similar one: “Love this Rach!! I hope to one day be able to recreate the same. Instilling discipline and work ethic from an early age is invaluable. They’ll love you for it.’

However, a third suggested Rachael and Michael were still too soft on their children, joking: ‘They didn’t push them hard enough.’

In April, Rachael was branded an “almond mom” and accused of “endangering” her children after she shared a video of herself making them “naked burgers” using lettuce cups instead of buns.

“Almond mother” is a pejorative term for a mother who imposes disordered and unhealthy eating habits on her children. It is often used to refer to parents who are ‘obsessed’ with nutrition.

An excited Rachael said the baseless accusation was nothing short of ‘hilarious’.

“This was because I made naked burgers for dinner (meat patties and veggies wrapped in a lettuce cup),” she wrote on Instagram.

“While it’s downright nasty, it’s also absurdly hilarious. I have now become a professional at responding emotionally to these comments.”
