Rachael Finch braved Sydney’s unexpected spring heatwave on Wednesday to head to Coogee Beach for a day of cooling off in the surf.

The 35-year-old model flaunted her abs while trying to go incognito in a very chic summer outfit.

Slipping into high-waisted beige shorts, the TV presenter kept cool in a blue and white strapless bikini top.

Saving the soles of her feet from the scorching concrete, the brunette beauty slipped on a pair of trendy brown sandals.

Rachael came more than prepared for her sunny day as she carried a beach bag filled with beach essentials over one shoulder.

The former Sunrise weather presenter kept her face hidden behind a huge pair of gold sunglasses and a wide-brimmed straw hat.

It appears Rachael was trying to gain some much-needed me time, as her husband Michael Miziner and their children Violet and Dominic were nowhere to be seen.

It comes as a heatwave hitting Australia is expected to break September temperature records and hit millions of Australians until Wednesday.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a “severe heatwave” message for the NSW south coast, warning that low to mid-30s temperatures will continue until mid-week.

“These temperatures are approximately 10 to 15 degrees above average and persist for an unusually long period for this time of year,” the bureau said.

The bureau estimates that September’s “very rare” heat will likely break records for the most consecutive days above 30 degrees.

The heat is affecting South Australia, Victoria and NSW, with the wave expected to hit Brisbane on Thursday.
