According to Quordles, this was on the easier side. Or at least it was on the easier side for me, because my three regular seed words – STARE, DOILY, and PUNCH – did a lot of the hard work for me. In fact, I’m thinking of trying a new strategy just because it’s usually not that much of a challenge to play it this way, and I’ll never be able to score better than a 7 out of 9. We’ll to see.
Anyway, as far as today went, FLAKE was the only tricky one, because the -LA-E pattern I discovered could also be FLAME or BLAME. But once I solved the fact that it gave me the K of ALIKE, the other potentially difficult one given what my board looked like at that stage, I completed the puzzle with one spare riddle.
