The final Quordle puzzle of the week is once again a pretty tricky one, but that’s not exactly unusual for this game, which continues to challenge those cruising through Wordle. I count myself among them, as I have never lost a game of Wordle since I started playing in 2022 (I did lose once in the Wordle archive), but have been defeated here several times. There are some pointers to help you troubleshoot the problem if it all proves too troublesome.

Quordle today (game #837) – the answers
The answers to today’s Quordle, game #837, are…
What are the factors that make Quordle more difficult? Repeated letters would be one, and there are two Es in ENSUE. Also unusual letters – and there is a Q in QUASH. And to throw a third into the mix: what about words with too many similar spelling alternatives… those aren’t really here, but PERKY could also have been JERKY, so that’s half a point in that column.
In short, this Quordle puzzle was potentially tricky. Fortunately, my three starting words were (mostly) trumps, which gave me the green -UA-H that led straight to QUASH, and the P at the beginning of PERKY to make that simpler. ENSUE was more difficult; I played UNSEE first. But I survived with one gamble left, so I’ll settle for that.
