Quincy Jones’ daughter Rashida pays heartbreaking tribute after his death at 91: ‘Your love lives forever’
Rashida Jones paid a heartfelt tribute to her father, music legend Quincy Jones, via social media on Thursday following his death at the age of 91.
The 48-year-old actress posted a throwback photo with her father, taken when she was a baby, along with an emotional message to her “gigantic, “icon” and “genius” father.
She wrote, “My father was nocturnal his entire adult life. He loved “jazz acids” right out of high school and never looked back.
‘When I was little, I would wake up in the middle of the night looking for him. He would undoubtedly be composing somewhere in the house (old school, with pen and sheet music).”
The filmmaker recalled, “He would never send me to bed again. He smiled and held me in his arms as he continued to work… there was no safer place in the world for me. He was a giant. An icon. A culture changer. A genius.’
