Queer Eye fans go wild for Antoni Porowski’s shower scene in new series

The new season of Queer Eye dropped on Netflix this weekend, much to the delight of fans.

And while the heartwarming stories and inspiring makeovers are at the heart of the hit show, viewers were excited to see that the Antoni “thirst traps” were back too.

The show’s food expert Antoni Porowski, 39, has developed a fan following not just for his love of an avocado, but for his impossibly ripped physique.

And viewers who were on season seven got a treat at the end of episode five, when the Canadian hunk stripped naked for a steamy shower scene.

He’s back: The Antoni “thirst traps” returned as the new season of Queer Eye dropped over the weekend

One of the regular QE tips at the end of the episode saw Antoni’s co-star, fashion expert Tan France, advising how to dry clean a shirt at home.

His tip of hanging it in the bathroom while taking a hot shower saw the scene fade to a shot of Antoni lathering up.

Showing off his incredible physique, Antoni put in every effort to the delight of his legion of fans.

“Of course they managed to squeeze in a few pictures of Antoni taking a shower, they know their audience,” one viewer joked on Twitter.

Another stated that “Queer Eye with a style tip with Antoni in the shower is the reason I keep coming back year after year.”

Antoni has been working hard on his physique since he rose to fame on the Netflix show five years ago.

He told GK in 2019 that he trains six times a week, both for his mental and physical well-being.

“If I don’t exercise on any given day, I don’t sleep as well. I’m a very hyper person and I actually have ADHD so I have to stay simulated all the time,” he explained.

But the star also gave another honest reason for his love of the gym, explaining that “vanity started” when he was inspired by his first boyfriend.

“It was a few years into college — and it was actually my first relationship with a man after dating women — that I suddenly became very aware of my body,” Antoni told GQ.

“The man I saw played sports regularly and we started training together at the end of each day. I think vanity reared its ugly head.’

The food lover follows a plant-based diet during the week, but admits on the weekends, “I’ll get the serious ‘f**k-its, and that’s when I do takeout.”

Last season, the Canadian twink once again caused Twitter alarm by taking off his shirt to give his adorable dog Neon a wash — a moment that left viewers swooning.

Fans flocked to Twitter to post their appreciation for the slow-mo moment, with one stating, “the biggest thirst trap Netflix has ever made was that random montage of shirtless Antoni washing Neon in Episode 3.”

Antoni joked about the moment on Instagram, posting a photo of herself and Neon and telling fans:

this may seem like a thirst trap but it’s actually a message of appreciation to @senojmg who oiled me up for this emotionally draining scene and made sure my hair was disheveled enough for any odd eye appearance. she notoriously dislikes having her picture taken so this is for you senoj ❤️. too ya it’s a thirst trap.’

Queer Eye’s Netflix reboot premiered in 2018, more than 15 years after the original debuted on Bravo.

The original version of the series, which also aimed to revive guests’ lives using the expertise of the Fab 5, first premiered in 2003 and aired on Bravo for four years.

Unlike the reboot, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy paired the hosts with guests who were “straight men,” while Queer Eye paired hosts with people of all genders and sexualities who want to positively change their current lives.
