Queensland music community mourns shock death of local icon – as fans rally to support his 14-year-old son
Queensland’s music community is in mourning after local musician Luke Nash died suddenly on Friday.
Luke is known from Warwick to Dalby as a wedding and pub singer and is survived by his 14-year-old son Alakai.
Alakai’s mother Tiff Adams announced Luke’s shocking death on Facebook and Instagram, adding that funeral dates and times have yet to be confirmed.
“It is with great sadness that I inform you that Nash Nash passed away today,” she wrote on Nash Music’s Facebook page, referring to his stage name.
‘Unfortunately, this means that any future gigs he has booked will have to be arranged with other artists.
‘This has all come as a great shock and is clearly beyond our control. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.’

“Sadly, as you all know, Nash passed away suddenly on Friday, January 10, 2025.
“As you can imagine, this time is extremely difficult for Nash’s family, myself and especially for Alakai.
“His loss has had such an impact that we are all still coming to terms with it.
“After many of Nash’s friends suggested we set up a GoFundMe, we kindly decided to ask for support to help alleviate some of the financial stress left behind after someone’s passing, but also to help support Alakai’s future , which is the most important thing to Nash.
“If you knew Nash, you know he was one of the kindest and most genuine people you would ever meet.
“Nash would give the shirt off his back, his last dollar to those in need, even if it meant going without. He really often put others on the spot.
“Above all, Nash loved his son dearly. Alakai was his absolute whole world. Please help us fulfill Nash’s greatest wish by supporting Alakai’s future.”
The GoFundMe has currently raised $2,270 of its $4,500 goal, with 28 donations to date.
