Queensland man who mowed a gigantic penis shape into his parent’s lawn in crude message to his brother discovers his fate

A man who mowed a giant penis into his parents’ lawn to insult his brother has been given a suspended prison sentence by a judge who branded him a serial pest.

The 44-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to breaching a domestic violence order against his brother. in Brisbane Arrested the court on Saturday by committing the heinous act between February 16 and February 20.

A prosecutor told the court the man saw the opportunity to leave the message for his older brother at their parents’ home in Brisbane’s south-eastern suburb of Burbank when he noticed the lawn was overgrown.

Because the suspect had turned off his parents’ riding mower, the older brother was unable to mow the lawn, the court heard.

The man took the opportunity and mowed his brother’s name next to the shape of the penis to make the insult explicit Courier mail reported.

He later insisted to police that it was “just a joke.”

However, he was charged with breaching the Domestic Violence Order issued on January 24 and breaching a probation order.

Legal aid lawyer Ann-Maree Russo told the court the man thought the stunt “would be taken as a joke” but now knew it was not a joke and had been carried out in bad taste.

“It’s clearly not a well thought out plan to, I think, annoy his brother in this way,” Ms Russo said, admitting it was a breach of a good behavior order.

Magistrate Michael Quinn told the man his history of breaching DV orders made him ‘nothing short of a serial pest’.

In sentencing the man to a fully suspended two-month prison sentence, Magistrate Quinn said it was important the community was shown that courts would enforce domestic violence orders.

He said the verdict would deter the man and anyone else who was “like-minded” from behaving in such a way.
