An Australian Liberal senator has unleashed a brutal attack on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, saying she is tired of the couple and calling them “terrible, abhorrent people”.

As billions around the world prepare for the Queen’s funeral within hours, all eyes will be on the royal family after it was revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan were ‘uninvited’ to a state reception for world leaders at Buckingham Palace on Sunday. was held.

The couple were reportedly “stunned” by the decision to exclude the couple from the event only for “working royals”.

But Sky News presenter Chris Smith believes Harry and Meghan need not be flabbergasted, as they had put themselves in that situation, prompting Senator Hughes to launch into an extraordinary diatribe.

She blamed Meghan for the couple’s estrangement from the royal family and believes Prince Harry will someday regret it.

“She’s just a terrible person.

“It’s absolutely disgraceful.

‘I don’t know what will happen to the book he made.

“Her podcasts that they apparently go through, they’re now trying to remove parts where she didn’t say exactly friendly things about the Queen.

“They’re horrible, rebellious, rebellious people and I definitely think they shouldn’t be invited to this and I hope they aren’t invited to many other things.”

“I’m tired of them both,” Senator Hughes said.

“I’m kind of longing for the day when I hope Harry turns and takes one look and thinks ‘what have I done’ and comes to his senses and goes back across the pond.”

Senator Hughes is amazed at the number of invitations Duke and Duchess of Sussex have received for official events following the Queen’s death.

“They wanted a private life, they no longer wanted to be part of the royal family in the sense that they were,” she said.

“They have moved to the US themselves and have taken every opportunity to say goodbye to the Queen, but also the entire monarch and the royal family and the role it plays.”

“They wanted a lower profile, they didn’t want this kind of life for their kids. They seem upset that their kids might not be getting the HRH, which I find a bit odd.”

Commentator Caroline di Russo agreed.

“When they decided they didn’t want to be senior royals, they wanted their privacy and they wanted their independence, well, there are consequences,” she said.

“We heard they didn’t get exactly what they wanted. Well, you didn’t want the duty, you didn’t want the responsibility, well you don’t get the other things that come with it.”

Senator Hughes is no stranger to controversy.

She was previously subjected to a vicious slur in parliament when Greens Senator Lidia Thorpe shouted at her across the room: ‘At least I’ll keep my legs closed’.
