Queen Mary of Denmark stuns onlookers with surprise visit to Australia as she shows off athletic frame on Sydney’s Bronte Beach

Queen Mary of Denmark made a surprise visit to Australia this week when she was spotted showing off her body at Bronte Beach on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old monarch wore casual clothes as she appeared in Sydney with her 13-year-old daughter Josephine.

Dressed all in black, the mother-of-four sat without husband King Frederik after the anniversary of rumors about his affair – which were strenuously denied.

The royal couple have been plagued by speculation about marital problems after the king, 56, was pictured with Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova in Madrid last October.

But Queen Mary appeared to be all smiles on Wednesday as she enjoyed some fun in the sun with her daughter and a friend in her home country.

The Tasmania-born royalty, who was last in Australia for a personal visit in December, wore a black long-sleeved shirt and shorts for her outing.

At one point, she was spotted jogging through the sand with a friend while pulling her brunette locks back into a ponytail.

Queen Mary hid her face behind dark sunglasses and a cap, taking off her shirt to reveal a tank top underneath when it got too hot.

Queen Mary last visited Australia in December with her youngest children, twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, both 13, to spend Christmas with her family.

Although the trip was a personal one, with the Queen keeping a low profile without her husband present, the monarch had an official royal engagement in Australia just months earlier.

In late April 2023, she visited Sydney for a day to ‘participate in an event with Danish business representatives involved in Australia’s green transition, and to visit a number of Danish-clad projects related to sustainable construction and transportation’.

Queen Mary’s trip Down Under comes a year after her marriage to King Frederick was plagued by rumors of marital problems after he was pictured with Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova, 47, in Madrid on October 25, 2023.

During a ‘private visit’ to Madrid, the King, then Crown Prince of Denmark, was seen strolling around the city with the TV personality.

While wife Queen Mary, then Princess of Denmark, was in New York on royal business, the King attended a Pablo Picasso exhibition with Genoveva before sharing a private dinner at a traditional flamenco restaurant until the early hours, as reported by a Spanish publication.

Following the publication of photos showing the King and Genoveva on their night out, rumors of an affair between the couple spread – which Genoveva vehemently denied.

However, cracks began to appear in Queen Mary and King Frederick’s relationship after his night out with Genoveva, and the couple, who have been married for 20 years, showed icy body language towards each other during public appearances.

It is unclear where King Frederik was on Wednesday when the queen flew to Australia.

However, the pair were spotted together last week as they were welcomed by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender in Berlin.
