Queen Mary of Denmark stunned in a deep blue dress as she attended a state banquet in Copenhagen this evening.
The event was held in honor of the President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, who is on a two-day visit to Denmark and arrived earlier today.
Mary, 52, looked elegant in her royal ensemble – including a tiara and sash – as she entered the event with her husband King Frederick, 56.
For the banquet, which was held at Christiansborg Palace in the national capital, the mother of four opted for a long dress with a lace fabric top and a tiered silky skirt. The chic dress also featured an asymmetrical neckline, leaving one shoulder exposed, and a ribbon-style belt that cinched her waist.
She accessorized the look with a glittering tiara, diamond necklace and diamond earrings, and topped it all off with dark-heeled pumps and a small handbag in the same color as her dress.

Her makeup was flawless, with a fresh base, smokey eye, pink blush high on her cheekbones and a pink lip.
Mary’s auburn locks were pulled into an elegant updo, rolled into a low bun at the nape of the neck, highlighting her gown’s signature neckline.
Meanwhile, King Frederik looked dapper, wearing a blue dress uniform, with gold epaulettes, white gloves and a walking stick.
Princess Benedkeek, 80, Queen Margrethe’s younger sister, and King Frederik’s aunt were also present at the event.
She wore a chic long dress in light blue-lavender, combined with a diamond tiara and pumps with metallic heels.
Meanwhile, Tómasdóttir also looked stylish, wearing a gold gown adorned with sparkling gemstones.
Tómasdóttir’s trip to Denmark marks Frederick’s first state visit since he ascended the throne in January this year, following the historic abdication of his mother, Queen Margrethe II.
The official engagement is also Tómasdóttir’s first state visit abroad since he was sworn in as Iceland’s seventh president on August 1.

Earlier today, the royal couple greeted Tómasdóttir, 55, and her husband, Björn Skúlason, as they arrived at North Custom House in Copenhagen, kicking off the two-day visit.
The trip reaffirms the ‘historical ties and close relationship’ between Denmark and Iceland, according to a statement from the Royal House.
According to the royal website: ‘The overall purpose of an official visit is to establish, strengthen and promote ties between the countries, including social, commercial and cultural ties.
‘Official visits to a country may be carried out by one or more members of the royal family. Official visits are often combined with a business or cultural promotional campaign.’
Mary and Frederik welcomed the Icelandic presidential couple to the North Custom House, where they arrived by boat, before taking a bus ride together to the Citadel.
After meeting the presidential couple, Mary and Frederik accompanied them to the Citadel for a wreath-laying ceremony, as Iceland’s new president waved to onlookers.

This was then followed by tonight’s state banquet at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen.
The official engagement comes days after Queen Mary’s tour of Brazil.
Royal fans were left in hot water after pictures emerged of Mary tucking into an Amazonian delicacy – before realizing what she was about to eat.
In images shared from her four-day trip, during which she visited the Amazon city of Manaus, the queen sits down to a native meal and appears eager to try it.
However, Mary looked surprised and slightly worried when she was shown a photo of the traditional dish that was about to be served for lunch at Biatuwi restaurant – made from insects.
After the footage was posted to Instagram fan account @denmarksqueenmary, fans joked that they would have done the same in the Queen’s position.
One person wrote: ‘Oh I love this! It would be exactly my reaction.’
Another fan said, “Wonderful Queen Mary” with a laughing emoji.

During the trip, she visited Manaus, known as one of the most dangerous cities in the world.
She also stopped by the National Institute for Amazon Research, where she had the opportunity to meet and feed a rescued manatee calf.
The Queen wore a stylish Sandro dress for the occasion and completed the look with a pair of long dangling earrings.
She wore her glossy brunette locks down to her shoulders and softened with glamorous makeup, which accentuated her bright eyes and flawless skin.
In an Instagram post reflecting on the event, the royal family wrote: ‘The animal and plant life of the Amazon rainforest is something very special. About 10 percent of the world’s total biodiversity belongs there, and yesterday Her Majesty The Queen was given an insight into the diverse life in the area.’
