The photo that shows Queen Mary of Denmark’s link to superstar Taylor Swift: ‘Obsessed with this’
The lives of a superstar musician and Danish queen may seem worlds apart, but Mary of Denmark and Taylor Swift share one interesting similarity.
During her state visit to Norway earlier this month, the Australian-born European royal styled her hair with accessories from a designer beloved by Swift.
New York designer Ellen Hunter is best known for her ornate handmade jewelry — and her hair accessories have become a celebrity favorite over the years.
Queen Mary was photographed wearing the Daphne crest ($113 AUD) in the dome hall of Fredensborg Castle, the spring and autumn residence of the Danish royal family.
The Queen wore the hair accessory to the Armed Forces Badge of Honor dinner in September 2023, three years after Swift debuted the famous comb in her Cardigan music video (Cabin in the Candlelight) in 2020.

Swift paired the delicate gold comb with a velvet Ralph Lauren dress, while Queen Mary styled the accessory with a sleek black suit and her medals.
Most recently, Queen Mary wore Ellen Hunter’s Jane comb ($248) during the Danish state visit to Norway in May 2024.
The Jane comb uses filigree – a method in which the maker twists and solders together gold wire – which adds complexity to the design.
It features three vintage-inspired designs twisted together atop a 24k gold-plated comb – and at the time of writing there are only three copies in stock.
Queen Mary also dazzled in the Amanda comb ($338) as she posed next to her husband King Frederick X of Denmark and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr

Other celebrities, including Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and Paris Hilton, have also previously been spotted wearing Ellen Hunter’s popular designs since Swift first donned the stunning piece.
