Queen Letizia of Spain wears roses as she attends the National Culture Awards in Spain

Queen Letizia of Spain looked fabulous today as she donned a recycled pastel floral dress to attend an awards ceremony in Spain.

The elegant royal, 50, turned heads in the black and pink midi dress with sheer panels around the neckline as she joined her husband King Felipe VI at the 2021 Premios Nacionales de Cultura in Zaragoza.

The Spanish queen first wore the unique gown in 2019 to a gala in Seoul hosted by former South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his wife Kim Jung-sook.

Showing off her thrifty side by wearing the garment again to tonight’s awards at the Pignatelli building in Spain’s Aragon region, Letizia paired the chic dress with pale pink heels and a matching clutch.

The mother-of-two swept her brunette hair to the side in loose curls, showing off dangling mirrored earrings.

Keeping her look on-trend with statement makeup, the Spanish royal paired vibrant fuchsia pink eyeshadow with bold lashes and a glossy muted pink lip.

Meanwhile, King Felipe also looked dapper in a navy blue single-breasted two-piece suit, which he wore alongside a light blue shirt and dark red tie for the event.

It has been reported that the King of Spain will preside over the awards, which recognize those who have contributed to the enrichment of Spain’s cultural heritage.

The annual awards seek to promote cultural activity -which is understood as a service to the citizenry- and express society’s recognition of the people involved.

This includes recognizing the work of people or institutions that, either with their works or through their active participation in various fields of artistic or literary creation, contribute to the enrichment of Spain’s cultural heritage.

The awards have several categories covering a variety of activities, largely artistic endeavors.

Among them are the fine arts, cinema and audiovisuals, reading books and letters, and performing arts and music.

Also included are categories that seek to highlight historical heritage, cultural industries and, perhaps most controversially, bullfighting.

Letizia appeared to be smiling as she stood next to pedestals that held small figurines, around whose necks were old-style cameras.

Today’s outing, in which the royals highlighted their deep interest in culture and art, followed an appearance last week at the inaugural Sorolla Through Light exhibition in Madrid.

There, Queen Letizia wore typical style in a black midi dress, cinched at the waist with a red buckled belt, when she attended the opening of the exhibition at the Royal Palace.

She was holding a burgundy leather bag, which she paired with matching burgundy pumps, as she joined her husband, King Felipe VI, at the event, which is dedicated to Spanish painter Joaquin Sorolla.

King Philip contrasted his wife’s dark, subtle tones by wearing a light gray suit and pale blue shirt with an elegant red floral-patterned tie.

The photos showed the King and Queen of Spain standing next to some of Sorolla’s best art, which will be on display at the Royal Palace from February 17-23.

The immersive exhibition will combine the artist’s creation with digital recreations and sensory experiences through light, color and movement.

For the first day of the exhibition, the royals were accompanied by the Spanish Minister of Culture, Miquel Iceta, the exhibition curator Consuelo Luca de Tena, former director of the Sorolla Museum, and Blanca Pons-Sorolla, the painter’s great-granddaughter and expert in its work.
