Queen Letizia and King Felipe of Spain honor Denmark’s military personnel and lay a wreath for the fallen on the day of the fighting in Copenhagen with Princess Mary and Prince Frederik
Queen Letizia of Spain and King Felipe paid somber tributes to the fallen on day two of their state visit to Denmark.
After a glittering state banquet last night, the Queen, 51, and her husband, 55, are conducting a series of engagements with Crown Princess Mary and her husband Prince Frederik of Denmark in Copenhagen.
All four royals attended a ceremony at the Citadel Memorial in Kastellet, recognizing both serving and fallen Danish soldiers and their efforts in international missions since 1948.
Upon arrival, the King and Prince Frederik, accompanied by the Commander of Copenhagen, reviewed the guard of honor before visiting the eternal flame on the wall of the monument.
A soldier placed their floral tribute next to the inscription ‘En Tid, Et Sted, Et Menneske’, which means: a time, a place, a person.
Queen Letizia of Spain and King Felipe made a strong appearance today during day two of their official state visit to Denmark
The queen, 51, and her husband, 55, spent the day with Crown Princess Mary and her husband Prince Frederik of Denmark in the country’s capital.
Queen Letizia looked elegant for the solemn occasion, wearing a camel-colored belted trench coat and pointed heels.
Hidden underneath was an emerald green long-sleeved dress, which once again showed her love for a pop of color, as seen on the first day of the visit yesterday.
This time, the mother of two oozed glamor in a long, belted coat, which accentuated her long, lean body.
The winter coat tied at the waist, exposing her cinched waist – which served double duty: style and comfort.
Continuing her recent color-block theme, the royal accessorized the look with a white handbag featuring a beautiful multi-colored floral pattern.
Her green earrings were the perfect touch of class, while also matching the same color of her dress.
Meanwhile, her luscious locks were parted on either side of her face and fell gracefully around her shoulders.
Her face was a picture of nude perfection as she opted for a subtle pink lip and a touch of mascara.

Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary, 51, and Prince Frederik of Denmark, 55, stepped out wearing almost the same ensembles as their guests.
The lead was taken by Crown Princess Mary, who personified classic chic in a winter coat with a long belt.
Although her version appeared off-white, it showed the same length and style as her guest’s.
The crown princess went for a monochrome look by combining the jacket with black accessories, including black tights, pointed black heels and a black leather clutch.

The news comes just one day after Queen Letizia was spotted with husband King Felipe, 55, as the pair headed from Madrid airport to embark on an official state trip to Denmark.
The mother-of-two was the epitome of style in a fitted black wool coat, black cropped trousers and black chunky leather boots.
Perhaps the most striking of her ensemble was a beautiful blazer in neon green fabric, with a v-neck and shiny gold buttons down the front.

The green blazer was very slightly fitted at the waist and accentuated her already slim and shapely figure.
The former journalist oozed confidence as she walked the grounds in a smart-casual, yet practical look.
Her luscious locks were styled with a side parting and neatly tucked into a bun, while her sleek bangs slid down the front of her face.
For her makeup, she opted for a signature nude base, with just a hint of gold smokey eyeshadow and a touch of black mascara.
She paired the look with minimal jewelry and opted for three miniature silver earrings and a matching silver ring.
For the occasion, King Felipe put on a smart black suit, which he combined with a crisp white shirt, a royal blue tie and black leather lace-up shoes.
The royals were all smiles as they walked up the steps of the plane, just before leaving the capital at Terminal T-4 at Madrid’s Adolfo Suarez Madrid Barajas Airport.
The beautiful couple was also photographed posing with officials and greeting everyone present.
Their Majesties will pay a state visit to the Kingdom of Denmark from November 6 to 8, which will serve to highlight and strengthen bilateral ties and relations between the two countries.
