  • It is believed that she is dating Luigi Ambrosi, who works for her family’s dairy business in the US.
  • A friend of the couple described Ayesha and Luigi as “a great couple.”
  • The 28-year-old credits her aunt for helping her cope with the loss of her father.

The Queen Consort’s niece Ayesha Shand is believed to be dating a businessman, with a friend describing the pair as a “great couple”.

Ayesha, 28, shared a picture of herself and her alleged partner Luigi Ambrosi on social media.

The image, which shows the couple ringing in the new year while on vacation in Uruguay, is simply captioned with a heart emoji, followed by ‘2023’.

According to a friend of the couple, Ayesha and Luigi, who works for his Italian family’s dairy business in the United States, make “a great couple.”

The 28-year-old is the daughter of Camilla’s late brother, Mark Shand, 75, who died in 2014 at age 62. Her mother is her ex-wife, Clio Goldsmith.

According to Ayesha, her real aunt helped her cope with the loss of her father, previously saying that “she’s been amazing in being there for me and carrying on my father’s legacy.”

Camilla and her husband King Charles, 74, became joint chairmen of Mark’s Elephant Family charity, following his death from an accidental fall in 2014.

The charity’s aim is to preserve the Indian elephant by helping it live in harmony with India’s rapidly growing population and by opening up “elephant corridors” for the animals to move about without disturbing the villagers.

According to Ayesha (pictured attending The Animal Ball, presented by Elephant Family in London, 2019), her aunt, Queen Consort Camilla, helped her cope with the loss of her father.

Speaking in 2021, Ayesha, who works alongside Princess Eugenie at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in Mayfair, said: ‘[Camilla] she’s amazing, she’s very involved with the charity.

“She’s been amazing at being there for me, not just personally, but to carry on my father’s legacy and be there for him.

‘I couldn’t be more grateful. Help in the grieving process. All these things keep the memory of him alive, which is very important.

Speaking of her brother’s death in an article for The Times, Camilla recalled the moment she answered the phone: “A distraught voice on the other end told me that something terrible had happened to my indestructible brother.”

“My charismatic and sometimes infuriating brother, who had survived tsunamis, shipwrecks, poison arrows and even the fearsome Komodo dragons, was no longer with us.”

At the time, Camilla was said to be “totally devastated” by the news, having been very close to her only brother.

A statement issued by Clarence House on Mark’s death said: “It is with deep sadness that we have to confirm that the Duchess of Cornwall’s brother, Mark Shand, passed away today.

‘Mr Shand died in hospital as a result of a serious head injury sustained during a fall last night. The Duchess, the Prince of Wales and all members of her family are completely devastated by this sudden and tragic loss.

‘Mark Shand was a man of extraordinary vitality, a tireless activist and conservationist whose incredible work across the Elephant Family and beyond remained his focus until his death.’
