EXCLUSIVE: Qatari investors targeting Man United are confident that PSG’s ownership of Qatar will NOT cause any problems with their bid, and are already making plans to strengthen the team with big money.

The group of Qatari investors who will launch an offer for Manchester United are confident that the national ownership of Paris Saint-Germain will not present problems, Sportsmail understands.

MailOnline published a story last night that a number of wealthy individuals from the oil-rich state are hoping to make a bid for the club before the mid-February deadline.

They want to arm manager Erik ten Hag with a huge war chest to lead United back to the top of world football, which is where they feel the club belongs.

The group is aware that the club’s current owners, the Glazer family, are seeking more than £6bn for the club and that there is a potential cost of £2bn to rebuild or rebuild Old Trafford.

One problem could be the ownership of the French giants by Qatar Sports Investment Group.

PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi is also the chairman of Qatar Sports Investments.
