Russia faced a major bombardment today as huge explosions ripped through the occupied port of Berdiansk – with Ukraine believed to be making the most of new missiles donated by Britain.
Footage shows facilities in the port being hit by a suspected Storm Shadow missile, Britain’s most powerful non-nuclear missile capable of hitting targets from 150 miles away.
A huge plume of smoke rose from a location in the port area on the Sea of Azov, in the Russian-occupied region of Zaporizhzhia.
Russia’s state media outlet RT said there had been “casualty and destruction” in the attack, the exact purpose of which was not immediately clear.
Russian-installed official Vladimir Rogov said nine injuries were reported. Berdiansk was first hit by Storm Shadow missile strikes on Saturday.
