Putin pardons murderer who stabbed ex-girlfriend 111 times while raping and torturing her to death for 3½ hours – because he fought in Ukraine: Victim’s mother blasts decision to free ‘scum’

Vladimir Putin has pardoned a sadistic killer who stabbed his ex-girlfriend 111 times while raping and torturing her for three-and-a-half hours – because the killer had fought in Ukraine.

Vladislav Kanyus, 27, had served less than a year of his 17-year prison sentence for the murder of 23-year-old Vera Pekhteleva before being released and recruited into the Russian army.

The move to free him and clear his criminal record after serving six months in the army has been denounced by the victim’s heartbroken mother Oksana, 49, who said ‘scum’ Kanyus will now be free to attack other women.

Kanyus had subjected Vera to nearly four hours of brutal torture, raping her and slowly killing her with repeated stab wounds after she broke up with him and demanded her belongings back.

The 27-year-old then strangled Vera with the cable of an iron.

The case caused a scandal in Russia as neighbors, who heard her screams, called the police seven times, but they were ignored.

In court, the case was labeled a “particularly brutal murder,” in which Vera was tortured and killed with “sick sadism,” according to human rights activist Alyona Popova.

The victim’s heartbroken mother Oksana has now spoken out against Putin for pardoning her daughter’s killer.

She is stunned by the decision to let him fight in the war after he killed Vera, and fears for her own life.

She asked, “How can a cruel murderer get a gun?” Why is he being sent to the front – to defend Russia?

‘He’s scum. He’s not human.’

She challenged Putin and asked, “Do you think he has changed his behavior? Of course not.

‘His only goal was to crawl back to freedom. He has now done that, and what will he do now? He will tear, he will rape and murder.”

The grieving mother explained: “This was a blow to me, that decree (to pardon the murderer) of President Putin….

‘My child will rot in her grave. I have been robbed of everything: my life, any hope. I don’t live, I exist.

‘And he is pardoned with release from further serving his sentence, his criminal record has now been expunged by the (legal) judgment…

‘This just completely turned me off, it just completely turned me off. I am a very strong person. But this lawlessness of our state is just pushing me into a dead end. I don’t know what to do now.’

The killer “could kill any of us, the victims, at any time in revenge,” she said.

The mother recently saw documentary evidence of Putin’s decree pardoning the monster after previously being told he had been released to fight in the war.

It means the killer was given a full pardon six months after serving in Putin’s war on October 28.

It exempts him from further prison time and expunges his criminal record for rape and murder.

Human rights activist Alyona Popova called on the Russians: ‘Don’t be silent. Scream as loud as you can.

“If we remain silent, we will simply accept that such murderers will walk our streets.”
