Unborn baby killed in horror smash that injured six people including the dead child’s 25-year-old mother
An unborn baby has tragically died after his mother was involved in a two-car crash in Queensland.
A Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota HiLux were traveling in opposite directions along Ipswich Boonah Rd near Purga, south-west of Brisbane, when they collided around 5.45pm on Thursday.
Emergency services quickly arrived on the scene and three people in one car and three in the other were taken to hospital.
Among them was a 25-year-old woman traveling in the HiLux who was taken to Ipswich Hospital with serious injuries.
Her unborn baby died as a result of the injuries, police said.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
