Flight attendants had to break up a fight between two men on a long-haul flight that started after one sat in the other’s seat because he wanted to escape another passenger’s incessant coughing.
The argument started a few hours into the trip from Taiwan to San Francisco when one of the men was angry because a passenger next to him was continuously coughing.
The nameless man took it upon himself to switch seats and went to find an empty space.
He sat down, but a few minutes later the original occupant of the chair returned.
An ensuing argument quickly erupted into a violent brawl and members of the cabin crew had to place themselves between the two men to break up the argument.
The men started fighting after one sat in the other’s seat, wanting to get away from another passenger’s incessant coughing.

The shocking scenes were filmed during an EVA Air flight from Taipei City in Taiwan to San Francisco, US, on May 7

The crew managed to calm tensions, before the seated man jumped up from the seat and punched him.
Passengers could be heard as the two men exchanged blows in the aisle before the flight crew, with the help of other travelers, eventually separated the pair.
The shocking scenes were filmed during an EVA Air flight from Taipei City in Taiwan to San Francisco on May 7.
The argument started about three hours into the eleven and a half hour flight.
After the altercation, the two men, who continued to point and shout at each other, were kept apart for the rest of the flight.
They were then turned over to police in San Francisco upon arrival.
The Taiwanese airline has not yet released a statement on the incident.
