Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell had high praise for quarterback Jared Goff after he led the team to their first playoff victory in 32 years on Sunday.

After securing the 24-23 win over Goff’s former team, the Los Angeles Rams, Campbell took a jab at their foes for trading Goff in 2021.

“I’ll just put it this way: You’re good enough to fuck Detroit Jared Goff,” Campbell said before tossing a game ball to his quarterback.

The locker room erupted in cheers and applause for their supervisor, who then called on them to “bring it in.”

“Hey, I love and appreciate you more than you know, I promise,” Goff addressed his team. “I love you guys so much.”

Goff led the Lions to their first playoff victory in 33 years by completing 22 passes for 277 yards

“This is just the beginning guys,” he continued.

“We’ve got three more of these bastards. Next week at home, at our house, against whoever wants to come in here. Let’s go.’

As he has done all season, Goff was efficient in Sunday’s monumental victory, completing 22 of 27 passes for 277 yards and a touchdown.

Goff’s 81.5 percent completion for 2,575 yards so far this season influenced their 11-5 finish for the top of the NFC North.

In 2016, Goff was selected first overall by the Rams, where his four-year tenure included a Super Bowl appearance in 2018.

In 2020, the Rams moved on from Goff and packaged him with draft picks to trade for Matthew Stafford.

In addition to Goff, Campbell also gave a game ball to general manager Brad Holmes, who helped build the team, while addressing the postgame in the locker room.

“How electric was it out there?” Campbell said.

“I’ll tell you what, it doesn’t get any better. It’s everything you dreamed of and more.’

The Lions have secured home field advantage and will host the winner of the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field next Sunday.
