Puka Nacua leaves practice early in another injury scare for Rams record holder
Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua is dealing with yet another injury problem after the receiver left practice early Thursday.
The 23-year-old, who had a record-breaking rookie season in 2023, only returned to training last week after suffering a knee injury.
But on Thursday he was listed as ‘limited’ on the injury report after bothering the same knee.
In January, the No. 177 pick in the 2023 NFL draft, set a new rookie record for receiving yards.
But Nacua’s injury issues have limited the wide receiver to just two appearances so far this season.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is dealing with another injury problem
Rams head coach Sean McVay has been without Nacua for much of the 2024 season
He dealt with knee issues during training camp and the preseason. Nacua then aggravated the problem during the Rams’ Week 1 loss to the Lions.
The 23-year-old had four receptions for 35 yards before leaving the field. He remained on the sidelines until last week, when he returned against the Minnesota Vikings.
Nacua had seven catches for 106 yards as Sean McVay’s side secured a 30-20 win. It was a huge boost for the Rams, who also saw Cooper Kupp return from injury last week.
Kupp hurt his ankle in Week 2 to deepen the Rams’ struggles. Los Angeles is 3-4 this season going into Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.
