Public Enemy star Flavor Flav reveals how Taylor Swift played a part in his reunion with Public Enemy bandmate Chuck D

Flavor Flav is counting down the days until his new single is released.

The 64-year-old rapper, who went viral after singing the national anthem at a basketball game, has put the US to the test with the promotion of Every Where Man, which is released on January 10.

The new song features his Public Enemy partner Chuck D, 63, and the artist attempted to clear the air about any perceived rift between the two.

In an interview with TMZthe Fight the Power artist tried to clear the air.

“A lot of people have asked me, 'Hey, why don't you and Chuck reunite,' but my answer is this: 'We never broke up to reunite,'” he stated.

“We just took a long break.”

Although the two haven't seen each other for several years, Flav said there were no hard feelings between them.

“There was no problem because I love my partner, man, and I know he loves me too,” he told the outlet.

“Sometimes,” he added, “you know, you can't all agree…but one thing about me and Chuck is we always manage to get it back together to see eye to eye to stand and keep moving forward.

When the cover art for Every Where Man wasn't quite right, the hitmaker took to social media for help to find a new design.

It was Taylor's fans, the Swifties, who came to the rescue after Flav spent an evening trading friendship bracelets at a Taylor Swift concert in Detroit earlier this year.

“It's not that I didn't like the original cover art,” the hip-hop artist argued, “but I thought the original cover art could have been better.”

Word of mouth led him to Aimee Johnson, who, from the looks of her Instagram account, is a huge Swiftie herself.

The artist was tagged by Flav in a social media post for the new single, and Johnson shared it on her sole social media page.

“I recently had the INCREDIBLE opportunity to design album covers for @flavorflavofficial and @mrchuckd_pe,” she wrote.

“I can't explain what an honor it was to work with them on this project. I can't wait for everyone to hear the song!'

The rapper said he is more than happy with the result. “I like what I have now, and you know, the Swifties are the gifties.”
