A man has died after getting into a fight with bouncers at a pub.
Police were called to the Kealba Hotel in Melbourne’s St Albans at around 2:50am after the 24-year-old from Mill Park was involved in an altercation with the site’s security guards.
Officers desperately tried to resuscitate the man who became unresponsive.
“Police arrived and began CPR but the man died at the scene,” Victoria Police said.
Homicide Squad detectives are now investigating and awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

One of the lines of inquiry is whether the man’s death could have been caused by a medical episode.
It is not yet known what caused the early morning brawl.
A witness told 9News the man had been refused entry to the bar earlier that evening and had “behaved erratically and banged on the doors.”
Detectives cordoned off the Sunshine Ave location on Sunday while forensic specialists combed the crime scene for evidence.

No charges have been filed as of Sunday evening while the investigation continues.
The bar reopened on Sunday evening.
