The Paris Saint-Germain president has debunked rumors that Mohamed Salah could join the French champions as speculation continues to swirl over the Liverpool winger’s future.
The Egyptian once again reminded us of his importance to Arne Slot’s team. He assisted Cody Gakpo’s opener against Manchester City on Sunday before capping a crucial win with a coolly converted penalty.
The winger’s contract expires at the end of this season and he claimed there are no new stay offers on the table from Anfield chiefs in a shock interview after inspiring the Reds to a 3-2 win in Southampton on November 24. .
The attacker, 32, had a rare conversation with Mailsport and a small group of other reporters after they scored twice in the away win, where he said he was ‘more out than in’ and criticized the club.
The discussion about Salah’s next career move has only gained momentum since that interview, with the forward linked to PSG in recent days thanks to his good relationship with club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
But now the PSG boss has sensationally dismissed the idea that the Egyptian could end up at the Parc des Princes, in an interview with Air sports.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi has insisted that PSG will not sign the Egyptian anytime soon
He said, ‘It’s not true. He is a fantastic and extraordinary player, but to be honest we never thought about him.
“We know that all clubs want him, but this rumor about us is simply false.”
Salah shares a relationship with Al-Khelaifi and the club have previously attempted to sign him, but are now being encouraged in their efforts by the Liverpool star, as reported by L’Equipe last week.
The French newspaper – which also claimed PSG have denied ties – claims the 32-year-old is actively participating in discussions and could see himself playing for the Ligue 1 champions next season.
However, recruiting the prolific goalscorer would go against the club’s current sporting project of staying away from superstar personalities and instead investing in young players for the future.
The Liverpool star, who is still refusing to let the mounting speculation affect his play, revealed on Sunday that the win could be his last game against City.
He told it Air sports: ‘That was in my head that this might be the last City game I play for Liverpool so far, so I’m going to enjoy it. The atmosphere has been incredible, so I’m going to enjoy every second of this and as long as we win the league and see what happens.”
Salah has now scored 223 goals for Liverpool in 368 appearances since joining from AS Roma in 2017 and will be a major loss for Anfield if he leaves on a free transfer next summer.

Last month he dropped a huge hint that he could be on the verge of an exit, giving reporters insight into the state of contract negotiations.
“I’m probably outside more than inside,” he said. ‘You know I’ve been at the club for years.
‘There is no such club. But ultimately it’s out of my hands. Like I said, it’s December and I haven’t received anything about my future yet.
‘I love the fans. The fans love me. Ultimately it is not in my hands, nor in the hands of the fans.’
Since 2011, Al-Khelaïfi has been CEO and president of PSG, which could be Salah’s next destination, and has presided over a period of huge success for the French side, during which they have won ten league titles and signed megastars including Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
