Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly ordered extra security to protect their players after disgruntled supporters targeted Neymar and Lionel Messi.
A group of fans was recorded outside Neymar’s home on Wednesday as protesters chanted for the Brazilian to leave the club.
Messi was also regarded as the target of frustration, with supporters also demanding the World Cup winner go through, having recently jeered the Argentine in home games.
The 35-year-old has been suspended for two weeks by the reigning French champion. as a sequel to an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia.
Messi made the trip in the wake of PSG’s 3-1 defeat to Lorient, with the result that second-placed Marseille closed the gap to five points in the Ligue 1 title race.

According to AFPPSG have now ordered extra security for the club’s training ground and for the homes of both Messi and Neymar.
The move follows the French champions issuing a statement condemning the actions of supporters, who chanted for the board to resign outside the club’s headquarters and traveled to Neymar’s home.
“Paris Saint-Germain strongly condemns the unacceptable and abusive actions by a small group of individuals that took place on Wednesday,” a PSG statement read.
Whatever the differences of opinion, nothing justifies such actions.
“The club gives its full support to its players, staff and anyone who is the target of such disgraceful behaviour.”
Neymar appeared to be responding to the protests outside his home in an Instagram post, with the Brazilian striker writing: “Don’t let people take you to their storm, put them at peace.”
He also appeared to hit back at supporters by ‘liking’ a social media post decrying the club’s status and claiming that PSG were ‘flawed’.
The 31-year-old is a divisive figure in Paris, having suffered backlash from the PSG ultras and regular booing on the pitch during his time at the club.

Reports suggest that after two seasons in Paris, Messi will leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.
He is reportedly of great interest to the Saudi Arabian government, which is reportedly preparing the biggest bid in football history to try and lure the World Cup winner to the Middle East.
Messi posed with his wife Antonella in photos released this week of their visit to Saudi Arabia, which led to his two-week ban.
The Argentinian had pre-arranged a visit for one of his commercial commitments as a tourism ambassador.
The World Cup winner last year signed a £25 million a year contract with Saudi Arabia to become a tourism ambassador.
Despite the club’s financial problems, Messi remains determined to return to Barcelona.
David Beckham’s Inter Miami has also been linked with a move from the 35-year-old.
