Leandro Paredes has revealed he was “not in a relationship” with Kylian Mbappe during his time at PSG, despite the pair sharing the same dressing room for three seasons.
The Argentine left PSG this summer to join Juventus on a seasonal loan, which could be made permanent for £19.5million should the Italian side decide to activate the option to buy clause in the deal.
Since leaving the Parc des Princes, Paredes has been candid about his relationship – or lack thereof – with Mbappé, insisting that he not talk about it as there was no connection between them.

“I’m not the one talking about him,” he said ESPN Argentina when he was questioned about his relationship with Mbappé. “I bonded with those I was in a relationship with. But the ones I didn’t have a relationship with, I can’t tell you about that.’
This is not the first time this season that Mbappe has had a frosty relationship with one of his own teammates.
Paredes’ comments come days after Neymar failed to bury the hatchet with Mbappe, with the PSG duo reportedly at odds with each other.
The two team-mates have already shown signs of a tense relationship on the pitch this season when the attackers clashed over a penalty a month ago in the French side’s 5-2 win over Montpellier.

Neymar stepped up and scored after Mbappe missed earlier in the game after fighting over who should take the second penalty.
The France international also chose not to celebrate with his Brazilian team-mate after sending his penalty kick.
The Brazilian then liked a series of tweets criticizing Mbappe, but the split was reportedly squashed the same week after talks with sporting director Luis Campos.
Neymar was then left furious with Mbappe during the Champions League win over Juventus earlier this month, after the French star refused to give him the ball that would have given him an easy tap.

Instead, Mbappe chose to shoot his hat-trick but missed the mark, raising more questions about their relationship.
After Brazil’s 3-0 win over Ghana on Friday night, Neymar gave a telling answer to his feelings about Mbappe when he waved off a question about his relationship with the PSG forward and walked away.
He told the media after helping his country achieve a win during the international match: ‘With Kylian? I don’t know.’
Mbappe previously closed the gap between him and Neymar after those incidents on the pitch.
“This is Neymar’s sixth year,” he said. “We’ve always had that kind of relationship, based on respect, but sometimes with warmer and colder moments.
“It’s the nature of our relationship. I have a lot of respect for the player he is.
“When you have two players with such a strong character, you have those moments, but always with respect and in the interest of PSG.”
Neymar is currently the top scorer in Ligue 1 with eight goals after an impressive start to the new season.
