PSG hail Neymar as a ‘LEGEND of the club’ after confirming the Brazilian’s £78 million transfer to Al-Hilal after spending six years in Paris
Paris Saint-Germain have labeled Neymar a ‘legend of the club’ after the Brazilian left to complete a £78 million transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Neymar is leaving Paris after joining for a world-record fee six years ago to pursue a new venture in Saudi Arabia at the age of 31.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi praised the impact Neymar has had on the club, stating in an emotional farewell: “It is always difficult to say goodbye to such an exceptional player as Neymar, one of the best in the world.
“I will never forget the day he arrived at Paris Saint-Germain and what he brought to our club and the project over the past six years.
“We had great moments and Neymar will always be part of our history. I want to thank Neymar and his family.

“We wish Neymar all the best for the future and his next adventure,” he added.
The Brazil international is leaving France after a hugely successful spell at the club where he helped the club to five Ligue 1 titles and a total of 13 national honours.
However, he couldn’t help PSG end their relentless pursuit of a maiden Champions League title. A task that now seems more difficult to accomplish without Neymar in their ranks.
The former Barcelona winger did guide the reigning French champions to the final of the 2020 competition, where they fell agonizingly short against Bayern Munich.
