Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier and his family were reportedly threatened by knife-wielding burglars during a raid on their home on Monday evening.

33-year-old woman Chloe and their two children, aged six and two, were confronted by four criminals who demanded money and jewellery.

According to a report from Letellier, Letellier's wife was punched in the face during the raid RMC Sports In France.

The couple were woken by alarms at their home in Yvelines, near Paris, at around 2am after the burglars broke into their garden.

They immediately called the police, but by then the criminals had broken into their property and threatened the family with a knife.

However, police quickly arrived and arrested three of the four criminals: a 21-year-old adult and two 16-year-old minors. They were taken into custody by the judicial police of Versailles.

During the arrest, a police officer suffered a knee injury.

RMC reported that a knife was found at the scene and that various items that had been stolen from the home were found on the suspects.

Letellier is currently PSG's third goalkeeper, behind Gianluigi Donnarumma and Keylor Navas in the pecking order.

Since arriving from Orleans in 2020, he has made just two appearances for the French champions.

Letellier made his career known at the Parc des Princes and also played for French club Angers.

On Saturday, Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne's 70-acre villa in his native Belgium was also targeted by burglars.

The footballer, his wife Michele and their three children were not in the building at the time of the raid.

Belgian news channel HLN items listed were taken, but no further details were available. The burglars used a staircase to reach the first floor of the building in Bolderberg, Heusden-Zolder.
