PSG are reportedly expecting a bid from Chelsea for Kylian Mbappe after a phone call between Todd Boehly and PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Chelsea would face stiff competition for his signature as Real Madrid are always keen and Al-Hilal’s £259m offer is still on the table, while the Parisians are determined to get as much money as possible for the France captain.
The deadline for Mbappé to activate a one-year contract extension has passed, meaning he only has one year left on his current contract.
His employers are now desperate to get rid of him so they don’t lose him on loan to Real Madrid next summer, although he’s now reluctant to leave.
Mbappé has become ‘angry’ and Chelsea would be ready to sign him from PSG with a bid, as reported by L’Equipe.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly called PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi to discuss a deal
The 24-year-old trains at the team’s new state-of-the-art training complex in Poissy, which was unveiled in July following a £257 million spend, while his teammates are on tour of Japan and South Korea.
This whole ordeal started when he wrote a letter to the club earlier this summer saying he wanted to leave at the end of next season, leaving them feeling ‘betrayed’.
However, his refusal to renew his contract has left them feeling they have no choice but to sell.
Al-Khelaifi said: ‘By the standards of football, you never see your best player go for free. It’s just not happening.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said they won’t let Mbappe go for free – so they listen to offers
Mbappe has refused to move to Al-Hilal, opening up the opportunity for other teams this summer
“We don’t want to let the best player in the world go for free, that’s not possible. PSG is a French club, it’s his city and he has already said he doesn’t want to leave for free.’
It emerged a few days ago that Chelsea were prepared to hijack Liverpool’s talks over a transfer from the superstar on loan.
PSG’s asking price is around £200 million. While Al-Hilal’s offer is much higher than that, Mbappé has refused to talk to the Saudi club and is not interested in moving there, despite his potential earnings there exceeding £700 million. He does not want to leave Paris this summer and hopes to go to Madrid for free next year.
