Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Neymar has finally returned to the club’s training center after suffering an ankle injury against Lille in February.
The world’s most expensive player has also had the protective boot removed from his foot, which he’s been wearing since sustaining the injury nearly three months ago.
PSG confirmed that Neymar had damaged the same right ankle that ruled him out of Brazil’s final group stage match at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
It was later added that Neymar would miss the remainder of the season as a result of sustaining two injuries to the same foot within three months.
However, Neymar has now returned to PSG’s training facility and following the latest round of test results, it was confirmed that he could continue his rehabilitation in Paris.

The Paris club released a statement on Thursday afternoon confirming that club doctors and outside surgeons had given permission for Neymar’s protective boot to be removed.
The statement read: “Neymar Jr. has returned to the training center as the members of the Paris Saint-Germain medical staff and the surgeons who operated on him remove his protective boot today.
“Having received reassuring results from his tests, the player can now continue his rehabilitation protocol in Paris.”
PSG have taken seven wins from their nine Ligue 1 matches in Neymar’s absence as the French giants look poised to claim their ninth title in ten seasons.
Christophe Galtier could still count on Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé when Neymar was unavailable.
The emergence of 20-year-old Hugo Ekitike, on loan from Reims, was also an encouraging sign for PSG over the course of this season.
Ekitike scored 10 goals in 26 league appearances during his breakaway season in Ligue 1 when he was still a teenager at Reims last season, convincing PSG to sign him on loan with a €35 million buy option in the summer.
