PSA: Your horses from Breath of the Wild are in Tears of the Kingdom

At the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link starts again at the bottom. Three hearts. Barely enough stamina to climb a wall. A broken Master Sword covered in silt. After emerging from circumstances in Breath of the Wild, it’s a real throwback. (But those are video game stories, right?)

But you’re not without some comfort in the once again chaotic Hyrule. Players with Breath of the Wild saved data on their Nintendo Switch can access all of their horses from that save file in Tears of the Kingdom.

Access your Breath of the Wild save data

To find and reunite all your horse friends, you must first visit one of the stables Tears of the Kingdom. After Link jumps to Hyrule from the Sky Islands, he has to step on it to get to one of the stables. The stable closest to the Lookout Landing launch area is New Serenne stablenorthwest of Hyrule Castle.
