Reality shows are routinely pretty crazy, and few people know this better than the people who star on them. That’s why the reunion special is a time-honored tradition in reality TV, a chance for cast members and viewers to reminisce about the hour-long fever dream they all shared, and perhaps squeeze in a little more drama while they’re at it.
The reunion special for this season of Love is blindhowever, is different in a pretty big way: it’s live. Netflix made a lot of money off this by putting together a promo where the cast members all say how nobody, not even themknow what’s going to happen because, well, they’re going to find out with us this Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern.
Honestly, this rules. The fourth and current season of Love is blind is by far the best since the first, featuring a chaotic cast of couples who are equally mind-boggling and endearing (Brett and Tiff!). And Love is blind reunion specials themselves can be pretty good – the season 2 reunion might just be the greatest hour of reality TV Netflix has ever made, where all-time villain Shake gets dressed up by everyone, even co-host Nick Lachey, who rarely seems to know where he is.
Granted, you don’t to have to see the reunion live. Like other live events on Netflix, the special will live on as Episode 13 of the fourth season, allowing viewers to watch at their own pace. But given Love is blindConsidering its popularity, this might be the biggest example of date TV Netflix has attempted to date, and riding along should be a lot of fun.
The best part? Once you’re done, you can roll right in Succession.
