Michael Strahan has expressed his pride after dropping his youngest daughter Sophia off at college for her freshman year — while admitting he can’t believe how quickly “time has flown by.”
The Good Morning America co-host, 51, took to Instagram to share a glimpse of the triumphant moment in his fatherhood journey as he helped Sophia, 18, settle into Duke in Durham, North Carolina.
“Knocked the youngest of the tribe off at college!” wrote the father of four, 51, as he shared a photo of himself and Sophia, 18, posing outside the college chapel.
“I can’t believe how time has flown by and I’m so proud of her. I know she’s going to ruin student life!!’

Michael also posed with a Duke-branded foam hand in the color of the school’s sports mascot, the Blue Devil

Michael took Sophia on a Target run in preparation for moving into her dorm — and family dog Enzo came along for the errand
In the first photo, Sophia posed with her beaming dad in front of the campus’s iconic Duke Chapel.
In a subsequent photo, Michael could be seen grinning inside a building as he donned a giant Duke-branded foam hand in the signature blue hue of the elite college, school sports mascot, the Blue Devil.
In a third photo, the duo stood in front of Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q, a casual eatery just a six-minute drive from campus.
A final photo showed the pair shopping at Target for dorm essentials — with family dog Enzo along for the trip.
Commentators seemed particularly enamored with the father-daughter Target run that kick-started Sophia’s college life.
“The goal is a right of way for every parent of a student,” one wrote.
“Target list for dorm stuff. I love it,” echoed another.
‘Proud Duke Daddy! … (and of course Enzo went to Target.)” said Erielle Reshef, a national correspondent at ABC.
Many commentators recognized the couple’s flight to Target as a sort of “rite of passage” for parents who are trumping their kids in college

At the end of May, Michael shared a slideshow of him in Sophia, as she received her high school diploma from New York’s elite Trinity School.
The two photos show the couple grinning as Sophia shows off her just earned high school diploma.
In the ‘gram documenting his trip to Duke’s campus, Michael added of Sophia’s twin sister, Isabella, “I know she’s a twin, so pictures to follow soon!” LOL.’
Isabella will start this fall as a freshman at USC.
Michael shares Sophia and Isabella with his second ex-wife, Jean Muggli, 58.
Through his first ex-wife, Wanda Hutchins, 53, he is also a father to Tanita, 31, and Michael Jr., 28.
